Congratulations to former Governor Dan Malloy on today’s announcement that he will become the next Chancellor of the University of Maine system. As most people know, the Governor has fought his entire life to overcome severe dyslexia, so this latest move, while not surprising to those of us who know him, is none the less impressive and inspirational. The Governor won’t be a complete unknown in Maine – he already has a built in fan base in the Pine Tree State after helping Jackson Labs expand its Bar Harbor operation to Connecticut. We wish him the best of luck and look forward to his verdict on who has better lobsters: Connecticut or Maine.
