WFSB and WNPR plan to go on with a televised debate on August 3rd despite Democratic frontrunner Ned Lamont declining their invitation.
All three Republican candidates will participate along with Democrat Dan Malloy. WFSB’s Dennis House and WNPR’s John Dankosky will pose questions.
Lamont has already decided not to participate in a televised debate that was slated for July 27th. This debate, which was to be held at th Garde Art Center in New London, has been cancelled.
