Jim Watkins has been removed as morning anchor at WTNH News 8 in New Haven.
Sources with insider working knowledge of station operations confirm the staff was notified Tuesday morning. By Tuesday evening The Laurel noted Watkins photo had been scrubbed from the News 8 Team page on the station’s website.
Watkins joined News 8 about a year ago after anchoring several local newscasts in New York City.
It is unclear whether this change will lead to others.
