Former Governor, and WTIC talk show host, John Rowland has decided to leave his post as head of Waterbury’s economic development when the contract expires in June.
Rowland will continue his role as co-host of ‘State and Church’ and will use the time to focus on more nonprofit and volunteer work.
Though Rowland often targets Gov. Malloy on his show, Waterbury Mayor-Elect Neil O’Leary says that the ‘tension’ between Gov. Malloy and Fmr. Gov. Rowland has nothing to do with Rowland’s departure.
