WFSB has hired a new producer/MMJ. She’s Ayah Galal, who most recently worked as a producer at WTNH. During part of her time at News8 she was a student at Quinnipiac, double-majoring in journalism and political science, and graduated in May 2018.
We believe Ayah — from Prospect, Connecticut — may be the first on-air reporter in Connecticut to wear a hijab.
We wish her much success at her new job!
