ON June 1, ESPN will officially open its new radio facility by hosting 13 radio affilitates and four other owned-and-operated stations from across the country. The stations are in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Dallas.

The radio facility now will occupy 8,000 square feet, an entire floor in Building 2, making the new space one-and-a-half times larger than what it was previously, ESPN said late Friday. Construction in Building 2, where ESPN Radio got its start nearly two decades ago, began in August. ESPN declined to comment on costs.
