Digital First Media/Journal Register Company (New Haven Register, Torrington Register-Citizen, CT Magazine, etc. etc.) is about to launch a new statewide high school sports site called GameTimeCT.com . The new editor, Sean Patrick Bowley, comes from Hearst CT where he was lead digital sports guy.
There’s been a bit of a migration of Hearst CT news personnel to Digital First Media:
A year ago, Hearst Digital News Editor Ben Doody left to become managing editor for Digital First Media’s Connecticut group of newspapers.
Then Tom Cleary, one of Hearst’s breaking news reporters, left to become co-managing editor of The Register Citizen in Torrington.
Recently Albie Yuravich, former managing editor of the Greenwich Time, moved to the New Haven Register to head up the design desk in New Haven…and Albie has hired at least one copy editor from Hearst to join him there.
