Here are the major news updates from today:

The state Department of Labor has received more than 250,000 unemployment claims since March 13, according to Hartford Business Journal.
CSCU CFO Benjamin Barnes said university refunds for meals and housing will average $3200 per student, “resulting in a loss of about $25 million for the state universities and about $30 million for the community colleges…” Journal Inquirer, via The Day, has more.
Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin posted a statement on Twitter urging city residents to comply with Governor Lamont’s social distancing orders. It read, “[Gov. Lamont] has issued strong social distancing orders. Respect them. For those you love, and for others. Our health inspectors and police will be working to ensure compliance. But at the end of the day, this is about all of us working together — by staying apart.”

Brewery, winery and other liquor permit holders may now home deliveries now available per the Governor’s executive order. Hartford Business Journal has more.
