The New Haven Register’s Luther Turmelle has been staying on top of the closing of Quinnipiac University’s community radio station, WQUN. He reports that an online petition drive has been launched in support of keeping the station running. In related news, one of the station’s anchor/reporters, Michael Lyle Jr., announced on twitter that he has been hired by New England Public Radio, WFCR-FM 88.5 in Springfield, Mass., as a news anchor.
