Hamden native Joe Castiglione,  the “voice” of the Red Sox, captures his experiences broadcasting for the team in his newest book “Can You Believe it?: 30 Years of Insider Stories with the Boston Red Sox”. Despite his Boston legacy, Castiglione tells the New Haven Register he remains proud of his CT Roots as evidenced by his love for New Haven’s Modern Apizza. Rumor has it that he has even introduced it to Fenway following the 2004 World Series Parade.

  1. Just a minor point: it may have been introduced after the 2004 World Series parade, or the 2007 World Series parade; but there was no World Series parade in Boston in 2003.

Also, Joe is one of the best, he really paints the picture for the listener. My all-time favorite was Ned Martin, but Joe is a close second.
