The Laurel has learned Car Talk with Tom and Ray Magliozzi will be taken off the WNPR schedule in September when production on the show comes to an end.
Public radio stations in several markets are removing the show from the schedule this week, but locally Car Talk will continue through the summer. The hosts actually retired five years ago and since then the show has been produced using previous broadcasts and previously un-used material. Tom Magliozzi died two years ago.
