Lisa Carberg has been a fixture in the Connecticut television world but is now moving on to the Yale Cancer Center in media relations. She started as an intern at WFSB and moved on to on-camera jobs in Wilmington, NC and Savannah, GA. Two stints at the NBC Connecticut anchor desk bookended a year at FOX News (national). 7 years ago she moved to WTNH where she has most recently anchored the 10 & 11 pm newscasts and filed medical reports.

Some exciting and bittersweet news to share. I am leaving WTNH for a media relations job at the Yale Cancer Center.
Through my medical reporting I have been amazed at the research and developments happening at Yale. Cancer took my father too soon. It impacts too many families, sadly.
My 7 years at New 8 fulfilled a dream to work at the station that I grew up watching.
I will remain active to help local media connect with Yale’s top doctors and experts.
It has truly been a pleasure and absolute honor to serve the people of my home state on a top news team. I thank you for your support.
This change happening just in time to attend all of my daughter’s athletic events before she leaves for college this fall.
With WTNH parent company Nexstar layoffing staff in anticipation of a merger with Tegna, it seems like an advantageous time for WTNH staff to consider their employment options. We wish Lisa all the best at Yale.
