As expected, Rob Blanchard has “transitioned out” of his role as communications director for Governor Lamont after announcing his intention to run for the state Senate seat being vacated by Tony Hwang.
Lamont has named Cathryn Vaulman to replace Blanchard. She is the founder of Rook Point Strategies, a consulting firm based in Southbury. She spent three years with the Washington, D.C. based public affairs firm known as SKDK. Her appointment to succeed Blanchard was first reported by the Hartford Business Journal.
