As quietly as she slipped away in June, former Fox 61 political reporter Emma Wulfhorst has re-emerged as a correspondent in Gray Television’s Washington, D.C. bureau.
The NYU graduate was among those reporters and anchors who left Fox 61 as part of a steady stream of departures that began late last year as the station transitioned to a staff consisting mainly of “multi-skilled journalists” who shoot and report the news.
Around the same time that Wulfhorst left Fox 61, the station announced it was cancelling its weekly public affairs program known as “The Real Story.”
Reporting for Gray from D.C. means it’s possible WFSB viewers may see her on-air again in Hartford. There’s also the possibility of a local return if the circumstances are right for all involved. Although there is no reason for us to think that is the plan.
