ICYMI – The signs say WPOP is ditching its all sports format for an all talk format.
iHeartMedia has registered several domain names that harken back to days of NewsRadio14. They include, but may not be limited to: 1410WPOP.com, Newsradio14WPOP.com and NewsradioWPOP.com.
Speculation is that the new format will be similar to the one used by WELI in New Haven. This is not a return to a true all news format.
No word on when this switch might happen, but in the past “when news broke out, WPOP would break in.”
