An internal review by FCC staff of the planned merger between Sinclair Broadcast Group and Tribune Media could be complete by next week.

A Bloomberg report suggests Sinclair may be forced to sell up to ten stations in over-lapping markets to win final commission approval. The deal, which would include Tribune owned Fox 61 and WCCT in Connecticut, is still facing active opposition from lawmakers on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. and consumer advocates.
