In a series of moves executed with all deliberate speed, NBC CT has asserted itself in the fierce competition that has come to be emblematic of morning television news in the Hartford/New Haven market.
Less than a week after the announcement that Shannon Miller would be leaving the station for a position in her hometown of Dallas, NBC CT has named Taylor Kinzler as its new weekday morning co-anchor. But the change does not stop there.
Abbey Carnivale has simultaneously been named the new host of the station’s weekday lifestyle magazine branded as CT Live! replacing Kinzler in that position.
The moves, coming as they do in the first 30 days of Q2, puts an immediate end to speculation about how the station might react to the Miller departure and suggests management has been thinking several steps ahead.
