It appears talks have stalled between WJJF 94.9, morning host Lee Elci, and state Senator Martha Marx(D) keeping Elci’s morning show off the air.
Elci’s show was pulled in mid-August soon after he filed papers to challenge Marx in this fall’s election. Marx quickly filed a complaint asking for equal time from the station.
For a few days it appeared all three parties were working toward an agreement that would put Elci back on the air and give the senator her own time slot, but according to The Day of New London those efforts have been unsuccessful. The paper reports negotiations now center on the possibility of short interviews featuring both candidates rather than dueling four hour shows.
