It will most likely be a year of change at CNN as Newtown native Chris Licht begins to implement more changes to format and on-air personnel.
By the end of Q1 expect a revamp of midday programming that will put CNN’s news gathering machine on display. Licht wants to move midday hosts from behind the anchor desk into the newsroom to show how it all works. Think Shepard Smith meets 1990s WPIX.
The new format will feature two sets of three anchors from 9a.m. – 3p.m. ET. The first three hours anchored from New York and the second three hours from Washington, D.C.
