ICYMI – The power of social media can be scary, especially when it is deployed against someone.
Earlier this week, as Lester Holt was officially taking over for Brian Williams at NBC, the New York Times had a story on attempts that were made way back in 2003 to expose Williams’ embellishment of his personal history. Back then, absent the power of Facebook, Twitter, etc., the story never took hold.
Twelve years later, Williams was unraveled in a matter of weeks, thanks in part to the viral nature of social media.
