Two months after filing her sexual harassment lawsuit against former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, Gretchen Carlson of Greenwich has reached  a settlement agreement worth $20 million.

The agreement came with a written apology to Carlson from the company. The New York Times reports settlement talks are underway with “other women” at Fox.

Carlson also issued a statement:

“I am gratified that 21st Century Fox took decisive action after I filed my complaint. I’m ready to move on to the next chapter of my life in which I will redouble my efforts to empower women in the workplace. I want to thank all the brave women who came forward to tell their own stories and the many people across the country who embraced and supported me in their #StandWithGretchen. All women deserve a dignified and respectful workplace in which talent, hard work and loyalty are recognized, revered and rewarded.”

At the same time, Fox News announced the immediate departure of long time Fox host Greta Van Susteren. The Times report suggests Van Susteren’s sudden move is both coincidental and at the same time related to the Carlson case.
