Radio Silence

As the legislature rushes toward a June 30 deadline to produce a budget, there will be no microphones from the Connecticut Radio Network keeping track of the action.

CRN ended the radio news service it began in 1973 last Friday and two of the most experienced reporters in the capitol press corps are looking for new opportunities.

Steve Kotchko, the dean of the capitol press corps, will stay on to host the weekly public affairs show Dialogue for an undetermined period of time. Mark Sims, who has been covering the capitol for 25 years, is looking for work.
