Bruce Putterman, the publisher and CEO of CT Mirror has announced he is retiring.
In a social media post, Putterman says he told CT Mirror’s board of directors of his plans last year and a process has been developed to conduct a search and find a replacement. Putterman will leave his post June 30, 2027. Putterman joined CT Mirror in 2017.
If the search for a replacement goes as planned, a new CEO will be installed next spring, a few months before Putterman leaves. Under his leadership, CT Mirror has grown in terms of staff, revenue, and mission and this year won its first Pulitzer Prize in conjunction with ProPublica.
