The owner of the Torrington Register Citizen and a variety of weekly newspapers and web sites has re-organized intself into Foothills Media Group and will  launch three new weeklies in the Farmington Valley. Foothills Media Group is a division of Journal Register Co., which owns a number of Connecticut newspapers including the New Haven Register, the Middletown press, the Litchfield County Times (plus Connecticut Magazine).
