Seems as though the media has much to do with the trial of Mayor Eddie Perez.
Apparently the ‘anti-Perez’ coverage by the Hartford Courant has driven this trial. Don’t believe the defense? Well then perhaps they will call former Courant reporter and current WNPR reporter Jeff Cohen to the stand. But wait, apparently few of the jurors even read newspapers.
This makes us wonder, if you want to have a low-key trial why would you call out the major media outlet that is going to cover said trial?
