Not unexpectedly, NBC CT has promoted Shannon Miller to anchor weekday mornings.
The move up for Miller comes toward the end of a year of uncertainty for the morning anchor desk with both Heidi Voight and Ted Koppy sidelined – by family tragedy in the case of Voight – and health concerns that were made public just this week for Koppy.
Voight will return to the co-anchor chair, while a NBC Connecticut announcement does not mention Koppy.

Amber Diaz will anchor the 4pm and 5:30pm newscasts with veteran news and sports guy Kevin Nathan.
Toi Thornton, recently of FOX6 News in Birmingham, Alabama, will anchor weekend mornings. More about him here.
