Welcome to another week.

The New Haven Register has relocated its headquarters to Meriden. The New Haven staff, when not working from home, or in the field, will now be based at the office of the Meriden Record-Journal. This is all part of a move by Hearst Connecticut Media – the owner of both papers – to consolidate operations.

Anne Karolyi of the Waterbury Republican-American has been notified that she will be on Editor and Publisher’s list of “Editors Extraordinaire” to be announced in May.


Zampa

As expected, Gray Television has named Peter Zampa senior national correspondent based in New York. He will cover the local angle of national stories from Wall St. and the United Nations for Gray affiliates(including WFSB) and Gray’s streaming network Local News Live.

Sunday night, April 7, 2024, former WFSB reporter Hallie Jackson began her tenure as the anchor of NBC Nightly News Sunday.
