Veteran network anchor and correspondent Cynthia McFadden, an Old Saybrook resident, has announced she is leaving NBC News.
McFadden spent twenty years at ABC, including time as co-anchor of Nightline, followed by ten years at NBC as a senior investigative reporter. She was married for seven years to the former publisher of the Hartford Courant, Michael Davies. She is the executor of the estate of actress Katharine Hepburn, who also lived in Old Saybrook.
