In what can only be described as a blistering attack on his capitol colleagues, Governor Dannel Malloy on Thursday excoriated lawmakers for their decision to cut the budget of the public affairs network known as CT-N and for their apparent attempts to control the editorial decisions of the network.
CT-N is currently offering re-runs of past legislative activity one week after failing to come to terms on a new contract with the Office of Legislative Management. 22 people have been laid off by the management company that runs the network.
Malloy called attempts by the legislature to influence the network’s editorial content decisions “despicable.” He urged all sides to get the network back on the air with its independence intact.
