The chairwoman of the FCC, Jessica Rosenworcel, a Connecticut native and Wesleyan graduate, is proposing steps to ensure the production of local content on local television stations.
As chair, she has proposed expediting the license reviews of stations that produce local programming. The plan would also apply to radio stations.
