On Father’s Day weekend, The New York Times published a long essay by Megan K. Stack about lessons she learned from her father.
Kenneth Stack was a copy editor at the Hartford Courant. He died in 1999, at age 59, of cancer. He was with the Courant for twenty years.
Megan Stack has followed in her father’s footsteps. She is a contributing opinion writer for the Times and during her journalism career has reported from the U.S.-Mexico border region, China, Russia, Afghanistan, Egypt and Israel.
