Julien Called Up to the Majors


The Hartford Courant’s editor and publisher, Andrew Julien, has been named interim editor-in-chief of the New York Daily News. Previous EIC Robert York has left in what the Daily News’ competitor The Post calls a “surprise shakeup”. Both the Daily News and the Courant are owned by Tribune.

Does this mean that Andrew, a native New Yorker but Courant mega-veteran, is leaving Connecticut?

We’re told he will handle the Daily News duties remotely, and continue at the Courant. More to come…
