Local TV and radio stations have big plans for Election Night coverage this evening.

All the major local television stations are planning regular updates through the prime time hours and special team coverage on their regular newscasts. CTN will provide live coverage throughout the evening as will WNPR.

Here’s a rundown of the analysts who be making sense of whatever happens:

CTN – David Cappiello, Jonathan Harris and Karen Jarmoc. Reporters from the CTMirror and CTNewsJunkie will also offer analysis. Coverage begins at 8p.m.

WNPR – Live beginning at 7p.m. and broadcasting from Real Art Ways. Coverage anchored by John Dankosky and Colin McEnroe. Regular contributors to “The Wheelhouse” will provide additional commentary.

WTIC-AM – Ray Dunaway anchors with reporters checking in from across the state.

WFSB – Commentary provided by Carl Schiessel and Brian Flaherty.

Fox CT – Tom Dudchik of CT Capitol Report and reporters from the Hartford Courant.

NBC CT – Max Reiss covers Dan Malloy. George Colli covers Foley. Jamie Ratliff covers voter turnout.

WTNH – Analysis from Mark Davis and former U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman.

News 12 – Live coverage begins at 8p.m. Analysis from Joe McGee and Robert Frankel.

Most of the national networks are also planning cut-in style coverage through the evening with full reports at 10p.m. ET.

Former WVIT reporter John Sablon once said, if you’re a reporter, “You always want to be covering the candidate who is expected to win. That way even if he or she loses, you still end up with the lead story.”
