The Hartford Business Journal has hired two reporters well-known in the world of Connecticut journalism. Robert Storace has been a reporter in the state since 1991. His career includes stints at the New Britain Herald, the New Haven Register, and the Connecticut Post. For 9 years he worked in media relations for the March of Dimes at its White Plains headquarters between newspaper jobs. Most recently he reported for the Connecticut Law Tribune (2016-2021). He’ll be covering the arts, health care, and higher education.

Mike Puffer will cover real estate for the HBJ after a strong career at the Waterbury Republican-American. He covered a range of beats, beginning with the towns of Wolcott and Cheshire; then transportation and development; city and statewide education issues and finally as the City Hall reporter for the City of Waterbury. Along the way he won various awards from regional journalism organizations, including first place awards from the New England & Press Association for environmental reporting in 2018 and for investigative journalism in 2013.
