Connecticut Television Network (CTN) is offering wall-to-wall coverage of tonight’s election results starting at 7 pm. Diane Smith, who has covered every Connecticut election since 1982, will anchor with four experienced field producers placed at the major headquarters, including:
Delcie Thibeault at the Blumenthal party (she was his spokesperson in his first term as AG and has an extensive background in news)
Christina DeFranco (formerly of WTNH, Fox 61 and CPTV) at the McMahon party
Elizabeth McGuire will be with Foley – she’s a former WTNH’er and radio veteran
Joan Gurski will be with Malloy – she worked at channels 3, 8 and 61 on the assignment desk and as a producer.
Cindy Liburd, a former producer at WFSB and NBC Connecticut is the executive producer.
The field producers will all work with reporters from CT Mirror, CT News Junkie (including Christine Stuart), from the Norwich Bulletin and the Waterbury Republican-American.
