Nexstar(WTNH) has asked a federal judge to expedite court proceedings that have currently blocked its merger with Tegna(Fox 61).
The merger is on hold pending lawsuits filed by other media companies and several states, including Connecticut. Nexstar is arguing that the lawsuit is “degrading” the value of the assets it is meant to protect. In other words, the longer the deal is delayed the more damage is done to both companies involved.
