CT-N Back

CT-N, the Connecticut public affairs network that provides live coverage of the Connecticut legislature is back on the air, with reduced staff and reduced programming.

The Office of Legislative Management has hired 13 of the recently let go CT-N staff and legislative leaders are promising a continuation of gavel to gavel coverage of legislative proceedings. What is not known is for how long or whether CT-N will ever achieve the level of coverage of all three branches of state government that it maintained until a contract dispute knocked the network off the air last week?

Governor Malloy ratcheted up the pressure on the legislature to take action on the issue last week when he called efforts to curtail coverage “despicable.”
