At The Laurel, the search for Connecticut angles to media news stories never stops and over the weekend we stumbled upon two worth filing away in the obscure facts file.

Scott Pelley, the anchor of the CBS Evening News has a place in Darien, Connecticut – if you didn’t know – complete with a studio that allows him to do work for 60 Minutes from home. According to the New York Post, it’s known as “the Darien bureau” by Pelley and his colleagues.

Mariana Atencio, the walk and talk live shot reporter for MSNBC, who began getting a prominent role at the network toward the end of this year’s presidential election, did a gap year at Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford.
