Richard Buckley, Connecticut resident and President of Buckley Radio, died Sunday. The 74 year-old owned and operated 20 stations including Connecticut’s WDRC, WMMW, WSNG and WWCO.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Buckley “passed up chances to sell the family owned business — an oddity in an era of corporate radio — and was a staunch advocate for local stations.”
Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
