We’ve been kind of swamped with new hires and departures over the past few days. Here’s what’s happening:
Fox 61: Two multi-skilled journalists have joined the team. Priscilla Meza, originally from Houston was working most recently in Wichita Falls, Texas. She’s a graduate of Texas State.
Solen Aref is originally from the Seattle area. Most recently she was an MSJ at Fox 61’s sister station in Macon, Georgia. Both Meza and Aref will be MSJs in Hartford.
WTNH News 8: Already on the air in New Haven, Zuri Hoffman is now a fill-in reporter/anchor with News 8. She’s recently been with NBC5 in Burlington, Vermont.

We do not have independent confirmation, but we are told former WTNH reporter Tina Detelj will be taking a job with a well known Connecticut company that will keep her exposed to the “bright lights” she is accustomed to as a television reporter. Stay tuned…
NBC Connecticut: Signing off – Caitlin Burchill announced this weekend that Friday was her last day on the air. On social media she said she is staying in Connecticut, but did not go into details about her “next challenge.”
The New York Times: Long time Supreme Court reporter and Yale Law graduate Adam Liptak of the Times is leaving the Supreme Court beat to focus more generally on American legal issues. He will continue to write his well known Sidebar column.
