Amid protests and calls to abolish ICE, the House passed a bill to fund the Department Homeland Security through the end of the fiscal year. All five of Connecticut’s representatives voted against it. Rep. Jim Himes (D-4th district) shares his views on how immigration laws are being enforced and what, if anything, Democrats can do.

This week, Governor Lamont said he’ll propose limiting rent increases by out-of-state landlords who own residential properties in Connecticut. Rep. Steve Weir (R- Hebron), who sits on the Housing committee, thinks it could backfire, and talks about the housing bills he’d like to see in the new session.
