Terri Rousseau, a former copy editor and features editor for Hearst Connecticut Media and the Danbury News-Times, has died at the age of 76 after a “recent medical event,” according to CT Insider. She retired from Hearst last year.
Several colleagues are quoted describing her as one of the best editors they ever worked with; someone who never made a mistake. Rousseau’s daughter Lauren was killed in December 2012 in the shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown. She was thirty years old and was a permanent substitute teacher at the school.
Terri lived in Danbury with her husband Bill Leukhardt, another long time Connecticut journalist.
