A new proposal came out of the legislature this week, aimed at lowering electric bills by removing the public benefits charge and shifting the cost of those programs to the state. Sen. John Fonfara (D-Hartford) walks us through how it would work.

Comptroller Sean Scanlon (D) says sweeping cuts to Medicaid would be devastating to the one million people in Connecticut who rely on it, including children, seniors and the disabled. He says it’s a math problem, and shares how the state is preparing.
