Face the Facts        10:00 AM

NBC Connecticut   Host: Mike Hydeck

Rep. Rosa DeLauro (CT-3), ranking member on the House Appropriations Committee, says dismantling the Department of Education is “lawless.” One particular area of concern for her is the English Language Acquisition program, which she says provides vital academic services to about 46,000 people in Connecticut.

The public benefits charges on utility bills were a hot topic at the state capitol this week, as lawmakers heard from customers who are fed up with the rising costs. Senate Minority Leader Stephen Harding (R-Brookfield) joins Mike to discuss the confusion that even regulators seem to have when it comes to what those charges actually pay for.
