State Representative Gale L. Mastrofrancesco, R-Wolcott, has purchased her community paper, the Wolcott Community News, according to the Republican-American.
The previous owner, Julie Moore, died last March. Mastrofrancesco “named herself editor and publisher and has been calling the shots since September,” according to the Republican-American.
Mastrofrancesco ran campaign ads in the paper in 2018, but she told the Republican-American that she intends to keep the paper apolitical.
