Former NBC Connecticut reporter Andrew Pergam, an early adopter of the digital tools of today’s news industry, has once again ridden his embrace of technology to new heights.
Pergam has been named executive director of Knight Center for the Future of News at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University.
According to a news release from ASU, “Pergam will guide the center’s strategic vision, expanding partnerships across academia, media, technology and philanthropy, and lead initiatives that help journalists, entrepreneurs and news organizations navigate a rapidly shifting news landscape.”
Since leaving NBC Connecticut, Pergam has held leadership roles at McClatchy, The Washington Post, and the J-Lab at American University’s School of Communication.
