The Hartford Courant lost its last full time staff photographer this week.
Mark Mirko is pictured above on one of his last assignments. It is not known whether the Courant will fill his position.
Mirko is joining CT Public Media as deputy visuals editor.
The Courant has been relying heavily on freelancers Jessica Hill and Cloe Poisson. Poisson took an earlier buyout from the Courant, but has continued as a contributor since then.
