Over the weekend it was announced that long time CBS News White House reporter Mark Knoller died at the age of 73.
Knoller covered the White House through eight presidential administrations and was best known for the encyclopedia of presidential trivia he compiled during that time. He kept track of nearly every trip, act, and movement of each president he covered, and he shared his work with the rest of the White House press corps.
Knoller’s voice was a familiar one to Connecticut radio listeners who would have heard his reports on WTIC-AM, WCBS, WPOP-AM during that station’s all-news era, and other local CBS affiliates.
