In a stunning development few would have predicted, long-time WTNH anchor Darren Kramer has announced his retirement. He will leave the station after twenty-four years at the end of this month. He shared the news on social media:

Before joining WTNH, Kramer worked at stations across the country, including; Wausau, Spokane, St. Louis, Chicago, and Springfield, Massachusetts. Throughout his 40 years in the business, he has retained the same youthful appearance supported by a perpetually earnest and honest persona.

His retirement means it is likely no WTNH anchor will ever surpass Ann Nyberg’s record for longevity at the anchor desk.
