A number of staff developments to report from The Day of New London…
Sarah Gordon, a nine year veteran photojournalist for the paper clocked out for the last time on Friday and will soon join CT Mirror. During her time with The Day, Gordon shot traditional still photos, produced video, and wrote stories that accompanied her visual work. The Day says it plans to fill Gordon’s position soon.
Meanwhile, Gianni Salisbury, who graduated from the University of Connecticut in May, has been hired to cover East Lyme, Lyme, and Old Lyme. You might say she is on the Lyme beat. Salisbury worked as an intern with the paper last summer.
Finally, Duneshka Vazquez, is joining The Day as the paper’s multimedia and content manager. She will be creating short and long form video content for social media.
